Kitchen renovations, Bundaberg and surrounds
Kitchen renovations in Bundaberg, designed around the way you live.
A kitchen renovation brings more trades into a house than any other room. Cabinet maker, plumber, electrician, stonemason, tiler, plasterer and painter each depend on the one before.
We plan the sequence, book the trades and manage the site, for homeowners across Bundaberg, Bargara, Elliott Heads and the surrounding region. You make the decisions about how the kitchen looks and works. We take responsibility for building it. Where the kitchen shares plumbing with a laundry or bathroom, we can plan the bathroom renovation at the same time.
What a kitchen renovation includes
- Layout and design advice, based on how the kitchen is used.
- Removal of the existing kitchen, with waste taken off site.
- Cabinetry made by local cabinet makers, including pantries and island benches.
- Benchtops in stone, laminate or timber, measured on site once the cabinets are in.
- Plumbing, electrical and gas work by licensed trades.
- Splashback, tiling, plastering, painting and a full clean before handover.

Why use a builder for a kitchen?
A cabinet maker builds and installs the cabinetry. A kitchen renovation also needs walls opened, services moved, floors made good, and the room tiled and painted. A licensed builder takes responsibility for all of it under one contract, so there is one business accountable for the finished kitchen.
If you already have a cabinet maker you would like to use, we are happy to work with them.
What order does a kitchen renovation happen in?
A kitchen is built in a fixed order, because each stage depends on the one before it.
- Design, selections and ordering.
- Removal of the old kitchen.
- Plumbing and electrical rough-in, and any wall changes.
- Plastering and floor preparation.
- Cabinetry installation.
- Benchtop measure, manufacture and installation.
- Splashback and tiling.
- Plumbing and electrical fit-off, including appliances.
- Painting, final clean and handover.

How long does a kitchen renovation take?
Time on site depends on the size of the kitchen and whether services move. The longer wait is before work begins, while cabinetry and benchtops are made. We do not remove your existing kitchen until the materials for the new one are confirmed, so the time you spend without a kitchen is as short as we can make it.
What affects the cost of a kitchen renovation?
Cabinetry and benchtops are the largest part of most kitchen budgets, followed by appliances and any changes to plumbing, gas or electrical. Keeping the sink, cooktop and oven in their existing positions costs less than moving them. The choice of benchtop material makes a significant difference.
We price the kitchen in writing with each part itemised. Where a new benchtop, doors and splashback would achieve what you are after without replacing the cabinetry, we will say so.

Kitchen renovation questions
Can we use part of the kitchen during the renovation?
For a short period, no. Once the old kitchen is removed the room is a work site. We help you plan a temporary setup elsewhere in the house, and we schedule the work to keep that period short.
Do you supply the stone benchtop?
Yes. Benchtops are measured on site after the cabinets are installed, then made and fitted by a stonemason we manage.
Can you renovate a kitchen in a Queenslander?
Yes. Older homes need the floor checked for level and the walls checked for what is behind them before cabinetry is ordered. We do both at the site visit.
Who arranges the electrician and plumber?
We do. Both are licensed, and both are booked to suit the sequence of the build.
How much deposit is required?
Queensland law limits deposits to 5 per cent on contracts of $20,000 or more. A higher deposit, up to 20 per cent, is permitted only where more than half the contract value is made off site, which can apply to kitchens with a large cabinetry component. Our contract will state which applies.
Are you licensed?
Yes. QBCC licence 15646637
